The conference "Logica, evoluzione e conoscenza" with Professor Carlo Cellucci (Sapienza Università di Roma) is going to take place on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Sala Santa Rita. Moderation by Rosanna Buquicchio.
Mind is not an exclusive privilege of human beings. It is something that creates a continuous relationship with other organisms, even the simplest. Mind is not necessarily conscious; indeed much of it is unconscious. Mind is linked to emotions; they are an integral part of it. Knowledge isn't just processes within the body; it's also processes outside of it and based on its sensory and motor abilities, occurring in the environment and cooperating with those inside the body. The result is a system integrated with them.
The event is organized by Associazione Culturale Vivere con Filosofia and sponsored by Assessorato alle Politiche Culturali e Centro Storico di Roma Capitale. It is part of "La Filosofia interroga la Scienza", an event to spread and promote scientific culture through the debate between philosophers and scientists. Well-known Italian scientists speak about their most recent studies using explicative evidence or videos. Philosophers raise 'questions' about the thesis of the speakers and the audience has the opportunity to participate in the debate. The event is curated by Professor Rosanna Buquicchio.
Free admission (limited seats available.)
