The task of the Archivio Storico Capitolino is to preserve, enhance and make the documentation written by the Administration of the Roma Capitale easy to consult.
The objective of the Film Office is to make the capital the place for selecting audio/visual productions, both national and international.
This office is in charge of the creation and management of communications plans related to the cultural activities performed by the Cultural Department as well as together with other public and private bodies. It co-ordinates the relations between the different media of the local and external Administrations for each cultural iniziative.
The Casa delle Letterature is the result of a cultural activity promoted and carried out in Rome by the Assessorato alle Politiche Culturali.
This Office is responsible for releasing authorisations for public performances and entertainment according to art. 68 of the Testo Unico delle Leggi di Pubblica Sicurezza, which envisages that no performances, entertainment, parties or horse races can be held in public or open to the public or shown to the public without a license.
The Museo Civico di Zoologia dates back to the end of the seventeenth century but it was only from 1932 that it was transferred to Villa Borghese inside the Park where it was housed in the same building as the ex Zoological Garden of Rome until 1998 but now stands alone.
The main intervention sectors are Cultura 2000, Leonardo and other Community Programmes collaborating with other Departments and/or Districts of the Rome Municipality and/or other bodies, which because of their nature are dedicated to the development of culture.
The Performances and Events Service is responsible for organising theatre, music, dance and cinema activities and co-ordinates their programmes.
The main work of the Toponymy Office is to give a name to any area where the public circulates (large or small squares, places, avenues, streets, gardens, etc.) for the purpose of subdividing the city's territory in an orderly way, applying and at the same time safeguarding the science of its origin, meaning, pronunciation, development, the era it belongs to as well as the use of the local names.
The work of the Technical Toponymy Office is to assign and verify street names as well as already existing street names. The Office further attends to defining and tracing new areas to be named.
The U.R.P. of the Cultural Department manages information concerning all the cultural Activities the Cultural Department, the procedures of the various Departmental Office, Advices and tenders with the relative lists the Cultural Department is responsible for
It accomplishes the administrative and technical-organizational management by carrying out the coordination of the planning activities of a few areas dealing with Dipartimento Cultura.
